Our Large Casting Plant Is Returning to Full Production
Key Takeaways:
- Delta Centrifugal®’s large casting plant resumes pouring in Early 2026 with 5- and 6-metric-ton furnace capacity.
- The heavy casting plant produces components up to 13,400 lbs. and 275 inches long in stainless, copper-nickel, and aluminum bronze alloys.
- In-house machining capabilities allow large accumulator and marine shaft sleeve castings to meet tight tolerance requirements.
At Delta Centrifugal®, we’re bringing our large casting plant back online, expanding our capacity for high-weight, long-length centrifugally cast components. Beginning April 2026, this facility will resume pouring some of the largest and most demanding castings in our portfolio.
Built for Heavy-Duty Performance
Our heavy casting plant is equipped with both a 5-metric-ton and 6-metric-ton furnace, allowing us to produce castings ranging from 9,000 to 13,400 pounds and lengths up to 275 inches. This capability positions Delta to support large-scale industrial, marine, and energy-sector applications that require structural integrity at scale.
We pour a wide range of stainless steels, including CA6NM, 17-4PH, 15-5PH, and 300 series grades such as 304, 304L, 316, and 316L. The facility also supports copper-based alloys, with high-volume production of Copper Nickel grades including 90-10 (C96200) and 70-30 (C96400) per ASTM B369. Aluminum bronzes such as C95200, C95300, C95400, C95500, and C95800 per ASTM B271 are also routinely produced.
Designed for Critical Applications
The most common components poured in this plant include large accumulator shells and shaft sleeves used in Marine vessels — applications where corrosion resistance and dimensional stability are non-negotiable.
Delta Centrifugal® doesn’t stop at pouring. Our machine shop is equipped with large-format equipment capable of machining these long, heavy castings to tight tolerances. From melt to final dimensions, we maintain control over quality, traceability, and delivery timelines.
The return of our large casting plant strengthens our ability to meet growing demand for high-integrity, large-scale castings without outsourcing critical processes.
